2008 WesBanco Debit Card Sweepstakes

OFFICIAL SWEEPSTAKES RULES

1. No banking transaction or purchase necessary to enter or win Sweepstakes.  The Sweepstakes is subject to all Federal, State, Local and Municipal laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law.

2. SPONSOR:  The Sweepstakes is sponsored by WesBanco Bank, Inc., 1 Bank Plaza, Wheeling, WV 26003

3. ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and protectorates, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at time of entry. Sweepstakes is not open to senior officers (SVP and above) and directors of the Sponsor or of their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising or promotional agencies, Sweepstakes judges and legal advisors, or to the immediate family members of, or to any persons domiciled with, any such person.  A separate sweepstakes is open employees who will qualify under the same rules as customers. All winners are subject to Sponsor’s verification of eligibility hereunder.

4. HOW TO ENTER: There are two methods in which participants can enter.  

1. You will be electronically entered into the Sweepstakes by performing the following banking activities. Certain banking activities will act as multiple entries as outlined below:

• Using your WesBanco Debit Card (utilizing your P.I.N.) to make a purchase and receive one entry per transaction.

• Using your WesBanco Debit Card (signature required) to make a purchase and receive three entries per transaction.

• Activate a WesBanco Debit Card and receive five entries.

All entries will be captured and entered under the primary account holder’s legal identity. You may refuse to participate in the Sweepstakes by informing the Sponsor.

• ENTER BY MAIL: To enter by mail, hand-print on a 3”x 5” piece of paper your name, address, city, state, zip code, daytime phone number (where you can be reached during normal business hours), date of birth and the words “WesBanco Debit Card Sweepstakes”.  All mail-in entries must be mailed to WesBanco Debit Card Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 88, Wheeling, WV 26003. No photocopies or mechanical reproductions entries will be accepted. Submit as many entries as you desire, however, each entry must be submitted in its own envelope with sufficient postage. All mail-in entries must be postmarked by December 22, 2008 and received by December 29, 2008. ALL OTHER MAIL-IN ENTRIES ARE NULL AND VOID

         All entries become the property of Sponsor and none will be returned.

5. ENTRY PERIOD: The Sweepstakes will begin on November 20, 2008 and end on December 27, 2008.  Entries received outside of the entry periods will not be accepted.  

6. PRIZES & ODDS OF WINNING:    Prize:  40 inch Polaroid Digital Stereo LCD TV with built-in digital tuner. Approximate retail value $700.00. Thirty-five (35) to be awarded. Drawing will be electronically randomly generated and WesBanco will award winners accordingly within the following markets:

Prizes awarded are non-assignable and nontransferable. The winner is solely responsible for payment of any and all taxes and licensing fees pertaining to their prize.  Prize winners must pick up the unopened, boxed TV at the appropriate regional WesBanco corporate office. ( Bank Plaza, Jackson Administration, Sabraton, Trinity Point, Parkersburg, Market St., Tennessee Ave., New Albany, Montfort Heights, Springfield Main).

Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. One prize per person.

 7. DRAWING: Winners will be selected by random drawing from all entries received. Drawing to be conducted by Sponsor on or about December 30, 2008.

All winners will be notified by telephone or mail in the event a phone number is not available. All winners will be required to claim his or her prize by completing, signing and notarizing an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release form and, except where prohibited by law, a publicity release, which must be returned via mail within ten (10) business days of notification postmark. In the event of non compliance with this time period, an alternate winner will be selected with no further compensation.

Winners may waive the right to receive a prize. The return of any prize or prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification, the forfeiture of all interest in the prize, and selection of a substitute winner from among all remaining eligible entries. Unless prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor and its agencies to use the winner’s name, address (city and state) and/or likeness with the appropriate prize for advertising and trade purposes without further compensation, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known and hereafter devised, including without limitation the Internet.

8. GENERAL CONDITIONS:  By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Sponsor and Sweepstakes judges appointed by Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with this Sweepstakes will be ineligible for prizes. In the event that any tampering, fraud, virus, bug, technical error or failure, unauthorized intervention, or other problem which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity of the electronic portion of the Sweepstakes, or for any reason Sponsor deems it necessary, the Sponsor may at its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the electronic portion of the Sweepstakes and award any remaining prizes at random among all eligible entries received up to the time of impairment.  Should the Sweepstakes be cancelled or altered prior to the stated expiration date, notice will be posted at all participating locations and at http://www.wesbanco.com

9. DISCLAIMERS:  By entering, participants acknowledge and agree that the Sponsor, WesBanco Bank, Inc., and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, franchisees, advertising and promotional agencies and the officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of the foregoing companies (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Entities”), will not be liable for losses or injuries of any kind resulting from acceptance/possession/use and/or misuse of any prize, participation in the Sweepstakes, printing, mailing or distribution errors, or any malfunctions of the computer electronic entry system, computer dating mechanism, computer equipment, software, or any combination thereof, unauthorized human intervention in the Sweepstakes, for errors in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries, or for any entries that are late (including delayed data transmissions), tampered with, garbled, incomplete, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules. Participants release and agree to hold harmless Sweepstakes Entities from any and all liability from any of the claims described above.

Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, illegible, misdirected, stolen, undelivered, separated, or postage due entries or mail, and Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to its computer system.  Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telecommunications network or telecommunication lines, computer on-line systems, servers, computer equipment, telecommunications network equipment, software, failure of any electronic entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or on any web site, or any combination thereof.

10. SWEEPSTAKES WINNERS’ LIST:  For the name and hometown of the prize winners (available after 12/31/2008), an official mail-in entry form and/or a copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed, stamped business-size envelope to WesBanco Debit Card Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 88, Wheeling, WV 26003, Attn: Promotions Department. Indicate whether you are requesting the winners list, an entry form or a copy of Official Rules or any combination of the foregoing.  A complete list of winners will also be posted on the internet at www.wesbanco.com.
